The EICMA 2010 has opened its gates today, allowing the team we sent there get up close and personal with the stunning two-wheel creations displayed at the event. We are now presenting the 2011 Harley Davidson SuperLow, a drop-seat incarnation of the 883 Sportster model.

The bike rides on a 18-inch front wheel and on a 17-inch rear wheel, using Michelin Scorcher 11 radial tires, that were engineered specifically for the SuperLow’s requirements. The wheel and tire setup have been designed to reduce mass and inertia and, together with the special profile of the tires, improves steering response and cuts steering effort.

The rider can enjoy a low position and a fresh handlebar design, features that are aimed at increasing comfort. Another clue that indicates the fact that we are dealing with a comfort-orientated ride is the use of dual coil-over rear shocks that offer 2.5 inches of suspension travel.

The SuperLow is the entry level model in the 2011 Harley Davidson range, retailing for a starting price of $7,999. Customers can choose to have the bike finished in Cool Blue Pearl, Merlot Sunglow/Vivid Black or Birch White/Sedona Orange. The two-tone color scheme offers a special appearance to the bike, allowing it to come with a distinct image.
