MV Agusta has unveiled the exquisite 2011 F3 model at the 2010 EICMA show, offering moto enthusiasts a new reason to celebrate.
The bike is powered by a 675cc three-cylinder engine that delivers 140 hp. The company claims that the unit manages to sit at the top of its class, both in terms of power and compactness. The company has used a segment-first Ride By Wire system with multi-wraps that offers the optimum output in all conditions.
“The MV Agusta F3 engine is the most compact, incredible short and narrow engine ever seen in this category. The powerplant is incredibly modern in design, technologically advanced and capable of generating the most power ever seen in this category. One of the numerous technical features is the counter- rotating crankshaft, never before seen on a production supersport engine,” stated the press release.
The chassis uses a mix between steel tubes and aluminum side plates, just like the ones used by other MV Agustas. In addition to that, the bike comes with an elongated single-sided swingarm with an adjustable Sachs Shock absorbers and an adjustable Mazrocchi fork. The F3 will offer an incredible level of stopping power, as it is fitted with a Nissin radial master cylinder and Brembo radial calipers and discs.
The middleweight supersport bike borrows many styling cues from its bigger sibling, the F4. One of the most important differences is the layout of the exhaust. While the F4 comes with four pipes that are places under the seat, the F3 offers a triple-pipe exhaust mounted on the side.
