We all misplace small things, be they the keys to our home or vehicles, phones, glasses and other personal belongings. One teenager from the U.K. misplaced his car more than a week ago, and he’s been searching for it ever since.
Connor Spear, 19, lives in Plymouth, and he and his friends drove 100 miles to Bristol for the Tokyo World music festival. As they arrived in Bristol after 2 hours on the road, they searched for a parking spot closest to where they would spend the night, but were unable to find one, the Bristol Post reports.

They parked on a street and hitched a cab for a 10-minute ride to their hotel, and then proceeded to have their fun. On the next day, they thought about going for a short drive, so they tried to make their way to where Connor had parked the car. They weren’t able to find it because no one had bothered to write down the name of the street.

Connor’s mother tells the publication that the car in question is a black Vauxhall Corsa hatchback which he bought for £2,500 a couple of years ago and that is in excellent condition. She calls it his pride and joy, and says he’s had to walk to work the entire week after he finally made his way back home to Plymouth, thanks to friends who didn’t forget where they’d parked their own vehicles.

Connor and his mom even drove down to Bristol together and scoured the city’s streets for 8 full hours, hoping they might come across the Corsa. They didn’t. So they’re going public with this (rather embarrassing) story in the hope that someone might have a tip for them.

“He’s annoyed with himself because at the time you just want to get there [the festival], but he feels so irresponsible – it’s the most irresponsible thing he’s done,” Connor’s mother tells the publication. “The thing is, it’s a really nice, decent car and he’s really looked after it – that’s the annoying thing about it.”

Despite Connor’s annoyance, he hasn’t lost his sense of humor, as his Facebook post below shows. That said, one of the commenters congratulates him on getting back his car, so there’s a chance he may have found the elusive parking spot. He’s yet to confirm it, though.
