It looks like 2014 is the year when the motorcycle industry is really starting to make it back to the way it used to work before 2009. After BMW reporting the best-ever March in the 90-year-long brand history, it’s time for UK’s Ducati branch to do the same.
Even though a sheer comparison between the two is way off in terms of volume, both Ducati and BMW seem to be on the right track towards better business. Ducati UK saw the highest number of registered bikes in one month since the branch became operational back in 2000. And we’re not talking several percent better, but a whopping figure which closes to 60%.

This makes March 2014 the best-ever month for Ducati UK in 14 years of existence, and we couldn’t be happier. The increase is compared to the same month of 2013, but Q1 figures have not yet been posted. All in all, Ducati UK sold a total of 483 motorcycles in March to final customers, with a 33 dealers network in the country.

According to Tim Maccabee, Managing Director of Ducati UK, three bike “families” have been sold in 3-digit numbers: the new Panigale, the Monster and the Multistrada ranges. He added: ““Obviously, it is very satisfying to see motorcyclists endorsing the desirability of our new models and, indeed, the entire range. I think that more and more are recognizing the work we have done to deliver high quality, innovation and value in our motorcycles in addition to the excellent sales and service provided through our network of professional Dealerships around the country.”

Currently Ducati has two top-level British racers in the MotoGP and the World Superbike, Cal Crutchlow and Chaz Davies, respectively.
