Ducati’s online shop is now offering a new range of covers and bumpers for Apple’s iPhone 5 and 5S and Samsung’s S4 smartphones. Setting aside the tech battle between the two devices, it’s nice to see Ducati offering such nice add-ons for the fans’ handheld gadgets.
Now, truth be told, they’re a bit overpriced, but I’m sure this is no impediment for the Ducatisti. After all, they also get solid protection for their phones, with all the hype and cool looks of a Borgo Panigale-branded cover. And they’re also a DRACOdesign special creation for Ducati, boasting all the trademark lines of both brands.
While Ducati-branded the covers for the iPhone 5, 5S and 5C are offered for a fairly decent price of €34.90 ($48), the same thing cannot be said about the metal bumpers. The Samsung S4 Ducati Hydra bumper will set you back with €79.90 ($110) and is available in red and black, mad from anodized aluminium and supplied with a special screw driver for mounting and a Ducati sticker for your phone.
Still, nothing beats the prices for Apple’s iPone 5 bumper. The Ventare aluminium bumper is offered with a lanyard, a screwdriver, a sticker and a stylus, but also with a hefty €99.90 ($138) price tag, and this makes the iPad covers or sleeves exceptionally decent at €29 ($40).
Diehard fans will surely fork out whatever sums of money their fav brand asks them to, but 140 bucks on a metal bumper is rather steep, Draco or no Draco as it may be.
