A couple of months after American builder Roush announced it is taking orders for the DUB Edition Mustang, the company put the vehicle into production yesterday, at the Roush Vehicle Assembly area. There's no official date when the cars will be seen in dealerships, but Roush expects that date to come soon.
As you know by now, the DUB Edition is based on the new 3.7l V6 Mustang, meaning it wears a brand new engine. This translates into no actual tweaks and upgrades brought to the powerplant by the Roush crew.
In numbers, that means the Mustang will be developing 305 horsepower and 280 ft.-lb. of torque, but will behave a bit better than its production series brother thanks to adjustments brought to all other aspects of the vehicle. For instance, both the aerodynamics and the looks of the car have been improved by the addition of a front fascia and front splitter.
The exterior menacing look is enhanced by the four exterior colors available: Black, Grabber Blue, Race Red or Ingot Silver. Riding a bit closer to the ground thanks to the lowering springs, the DUB will surely be quite a thing to look for in the rear view mirror.
Controlled by a six-speed manual or automatic transmission, the V6 engine will pull the car forward on 20-inch TIS wheels with Pirelli performance tires.
The package of the car will be priced at $3,599, and an extra $100 for shipping, of course on top of the price to be paid for the car itself. The Edition will be available for coupe, convertible or glass-roof body styles.
