After four weeks of time off, the DTM Championship resumes this weekend with the thrilling race at the Norisring, a street circuit that is sure to bring a lot of action to the streets of the German city of Nurnberg.
The circuit is special for two BMW drivers. It was here, 7 years ago, where Bruno Spengler claimed his first victory in DTM, winning yet another two races later on this street circuit with limited grip. Furthermore, Marco Wittmann grew up just 40 km away from the track and knows it pretty well, making this one of the favorite circuits for the DTM rookie.
Before this race, BMW stands at the number one spot in the manufacturer's championship with 177, whilst Bruno Spengler is second in the Driver's Championship with 59 points, the same as the current leader, Mike Rockenfeller. Team Schnitzer leads in the Team Standings, with 81 points to its name.
