Here’s a video that has managed to spark outrage all over the world. When it comes to parents mistreating their children and putting them in harm’s way, this is as bad as it gets short of a movie.
According to Detroit News, Shawn Weimer was filmed by a gas station security camera as he was telling the workers there that his nine-year-old daughter is the designated driver, as he’s to drunk. Naturally, they notified the police and the van was pulled over a few miles down the road.
“I got, I got a designated driver. Nine Years old. Nine! Dad’s drinking. Listen, we’re leaving and she’s driving. She drove all the way here,” said Weimer, who will probably be... well treated in prison.
Weimer was subsequently arrested by the Detroit police, and the young girl told them this wasn’t the first time this had happened.
