Driver Doesn't Look, Doesn't See Scooter

The day when scooters used to do 20 mph (32 km/h) or so is long gone: modern 49cc scooters can travel at 50 mph (85 km/h) or more, even with no ECU tuning, so failing to acknowledge them and their presence on the roads can lead to very nasty consequences.
The renewed British Think! campaign advises drivers to double check for motorists before entering at junctions, and is aimed exactly towards guys like the one in this short video. While the scooter driver realizes it's him who must brake to avoid the collision, we could place some wagers that the driver just said something like "screw him, it's just a scooter and it's going to take forever to reach this point"...provided he checked the road, whatsoever.

Luckily for both, the scooter rider was more aware of the dangers which lurk even behind situations which seem normal, and has detected the car who would not stop. Safe for that day, at least.
