Drag Race: Corvette ZR1 vs Heffner Ford GT

This footage was taken at the Palm Beach Speedway, where the sun never sets on drag racing. We’ve got one of the coolest battles between all-American cars that we’ve ever shown you.
In one corner, we’ve got the white Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, the most powerful ‘Vette out there. The car puts out about 650 horsepower from a 6.2-liter V8 engine, enough for a 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint in 3.4 seconds.

That might sound like a lot, but it’s up against the master of blue-collar workers, the 2006 Ford GT. This car was tuned about four years ago by Heggner Performance and Camilo Padro, with the twin turbo red devil now putting out 900 horsepower. It figures are out of this world as 200 mph from a standing start is reached in only 19 seconds, while the end speed for the quarter mile drag was 150 mph.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
