Dodge has just announced the sportiest addition to the Dart range, yet it is nowhere near as sporty as we would have liked. Still, the GT is the model to have, if you want the sportiest Dart around. It gets sporty stiffened suspension, with frequency-sensing dampers, 18-inch rims, unique to the GT, as well as black accents on the grille and around the headlights and exhaust tips.
The exterior changes are subtle, but since the Dart was already quite a looker, it really didn`t need much, especially since this is not a hardcore sporty version.
Inside, the subtle sporty touches continue, and the sports seats, covered in perforated Nappa leather steal the show, and look fantastic! They can also be had either with contrasting red stitching, or black and red leather combination. The rest of the interior is standard Dart, and it gets the usual slew of features including climate control, touchscreen infotainment system, rear view camera and even a heated steering wheel (front seats are also heated).
The engine is the same 2.4-liter Tigershark MultiAir2 unit, which makes 184 hp and can be had with either a six-speed manual, or an optional six-cog auto. The base price for the Dart GT is $20,995 sans options. However, for most, the kit the car already comes with will be more than enough, so this will end up being the exact amount they will be paying.
