This might be the most controversial crash of the year to date. A Dodge Challenger T-boned a Honda Civic in Surrey, British Columbia. The drivers blamed each other for the accident while the residents were at the throat of the Dodge owner. The police are running an investigation to determine who's guilty, but the Dodge seemed to have double over the speed limit in the area. Either way, both cars will probably end up in a scrap yard.
Last week, a crash that took place in a residential area in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada, split the internet in two. The video, uploaded to YouTube and become viral on social media, sparked huge controversy, with some blaming the Dodge Challenger driver and others pointing at the one behind the wheel of the ninth-generation Honda Civic.

A surveillance camera caught the exact moment of the crash and will help authorities to determine who is guilty. The footage shows how the driver of the silver Honda Civic does a U-turn where turning was not permitted without paying much attention. The driver also miscalculated the speed of the oncoming Dodge Challenger.

The driver of the muscle car failed to see the Honda in time, showed no intention of braking, and crashed into it head-first, sending it into a tree in front of a house. The Doge span out of control and seemingly clipped another car before it crashed into several parked vehicles and came to a halt in a bush with the front axle broken and the front end seriously deformed.

The driver of the Dodge and his passenger walked away unharmed, but the woman and the child who were traveling in the Honda were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Within seconds, witnesses approached the driver of the Dodge, accusing him of overspending in an area where the speed limit is 25 mph (40 kph).

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) are running an investigation. None of them was driving under the influence. However, both of them might be charged, according to Sergeant Tammy Lobb.

The police are trying to explain the footage that has become viral on social media and split the internet in two. The Honda driver was doing a U-turn in an area with double yellow lines, where the maneuver wasn't permitted. Meanwhile, the driver of the Dodge was reportedly doing at least 60 mph (96 kph). However, those who watched the footage claim he was probably driving at 75 mph (120 kph).

As far as the legislation goes, they might both end up with their driver's licenses suspended. The result of the police investigation is going to help insurance companies decide who pays for the damaged cars. Both of them are probably going to be write-offs.
