DeLorean Becomes Monster Truck

Everybody knows the DeLorean from that show called Back to the Future. Its retro shape, gullwing doors and multiple shades of gray make it unmistakeable, and we’ve even heard some people say that they liked it.
There’s supposed to be only about 6,500 DeLoreans on the road today, that is until production of the new EV starts (scheduled for 2013). However, we’d much rather have it like it used to be - powered by a V6 engine.

But not this fellow, who turned his DeLorean into a high-riding monster truck by combining the 1981 original body with the chassis of a 1979 Chevy K5 Blazer and a 5.7-liter V8 engine. The result is more ‘Wacky Races’ than ‘Back to the Future’, but it’s also very original. The tires on the Delorean Monster Truck are 44 inch Super Swampers.

Time to crush some cars!

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
