In the world of BMW aficionados, the X6 might very well be the most hated model of them all. If the crowd was reluctant towards the X5 at first, at least that’s a conventional SUV whereas the X6 is a Sport Activity Coupe, which roughly translates into a Coupe with an SUV body.
Be that as it may, putting the M letter on a car never hurt nobody and some of the skeptics changed their minds once the Bavarians unveiled the X6 M. That car is a beast and it will shame cars that are a lot smaller and lighter at a stop light. Just saying…
Now, the guys from DD Customs paid special attention to one model to make it look like it came from Michael Bay’s dreams. The car looks like it’s about to transform and that’s because of its body kit mostly.
No, DD Customs didn’t make it from scratch but used a Hamann body kit instead. On top of that, they added a couple of carbon bits like the bonnet and mirror caps. The wheels were changed as well, also with Hamann’s design. The 22 inch black rims got wrapped in Continental rubber.
Round the back we have two big exhaust tips instead of the four that we’re used to, new taillights, a redesigned diffuser and new side skirts. Also, the bigger mudguards might also pop up in your line of sight.
There was no change done under the bonnet though, so the stock numbers are still valid. That means that the 555 HP beast will still do 62 mph (100 km/h) from a standstill in 4.7 seconds, going up to a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph), electronically limited.
What DD Customes came up with may not be too much of an original move, but it definitely bring us an X6 that stands out.
