Dakar-Spec MINI Countryman Lands Badly After Dune Jump

The Dakar Rally is one of the most grueling off-road racing challenges one could ever dream of trying. It is such a difficult event, that even those who have experience still fear it. Now, moving the entire venue from Africa to South America (Peru, Argentina and Chile), even those who knew the African variant say that they are struggling a bit.
Still, enough serious talk, let`s see the successful MINI Countryman (specially prepared for the venue), which crashes radiator-first into the sand, after being taken too high into the air off the crest of a dune. A loud bang and crack accompany the landing.

The incident could have turned even worse, if the driver of a red buggy did not exhibit excellent reflexes, and avoid the stranded MINI driver, who was still at the base of the same dune the buggy was about to jump.

The MINI was being driven by Polish driver Krzysztof HoBowczyc, who needed light medical attention following the incident.
