Yamaha Italia and Team Rebel Racing have showed a "Dakarized" version of the revered WR450F machine at the Motor Bike Expo in Verona, Italy.
The bike is upgraded with multiple rally-raid parts, such as an additional 12-liter (3.17 gal) fuel tank under the tail, extending the total range offered by the stock 18-liter one (4.75 gal).
An aftermarket Scalvini exhaust replaces the OEM one, while the battery is a 14Ah Shorai one. The plexiglass windscreen also provides shielding for the solid roadbook, tripmaster and other cross-country-specific instruments, which are offered separately.
The Yamaha WR450F Rally from Team Rebel Racing is already available for a price staring at €14,390 ($19,645), but the kit and more "Dakar-grade" parts are also offered individually.
Yamaha's factory team's best 2014 Dakar results have been brought by Olivier Pain and 5-times champion Cyril Despres, in 3rd and 4th, respectively.
