"The Ultimate Toy Hauler." These are the first words you'll see if you ever lock eyes with Cruiser RV's webpage for their off-grid living, toy hauling, and well-equipped Stryker mobile habitat. Get ready for this one, folks, because if you get your hands on one, mobile living is bound to take on new horizons.
Folks, the Stryker is considered Cruiser RV's "Ultimate Toy Hauler." The same Cruiser RV that's been around since 1988, a time in which they've grown to be one of America's most sought-after trailer brands. The way they did this was and is by focusing on nothing more than the customer's needs and wants. The right way to do things. This also means that units meet needs and wants that you may not even know you had.

For example, the Stryker family of units isn't just aimed at trailer park living. Instead, Cruiser took the time to load these babies up with everything you need to not only get out of the park but once you do, you can even explore those roads that have no tarmac, and once you make it to your lakeside destination, the rest of the systems ensure you need nothing else for a few days or so. You'll even be able to party while you're out there or even catch the game.

Now, for 2023, seven floorplans are available, but the largest is the STG3212, and it's only considered the largest because it has the possibility to create two patio areas or dining decks. Some units, like the ST2916, on the other hand, place a massive garage at your disposal and just one patio deck, which is also the ramp door for every unit in the lineup.

Since it's rather difficult to enumerate all the goodies found in each unit, I'll run through features native to all floorplans and even touch up a bit on the STG3212 because this thing is bound to look amazing hanging out on the edge of some lake or seaside.

Starting with the all-important garage, it's here that you'll find not only a space to store ATVs, ATCs, or off-road motorcycles but once you've unloaded your machines, this area can be set up as an outdoor patio area, allowing you to enjoy the natural world around from a suspended deck, with easy access to the interior of your mobile abode. This area also doubles as a place to rest your head once night falls upon your eyelids.

Suppose you're the sort of person that's all about bringing along your motorized machines. In that case, a few things you need to be aware of are things like rear flood lights and other exterior lighting, allowing you to embark upon adventures any time of day or night. You'll also be able to find a 30 gals (113.5 l) fuel tank with pump, and optionally, another 30 gals can be had. Tie-downs? No worries there, either.

But vehicle adventures are only part of the picture in this off-grid story. The other half of things have to do with the more peaceful side of things, like eating, relaxing, sleeping, and even catching the Sunday game I mentioned. In short, what's day-to-day living like?

Well, let's consider that these units can accommodate up to eight souls without anyone sleeping around on the floor. With that said, there have to be enough beds for all, and there is, but most importantly, the space needed to bring along clothes, food, and gear and to be able to keep yourself clean and living comfortably.

In terms of storage, there are literally countless spaces and cupboards where you can hide everything you would ever need to bring along. From clothing to foodstuffs and kitchen utensils, all have a place in a Stryker. Bringing along kayaks and e-bikes? Yup, no problems whatsoever.

For eating and feeding yourselves, a massive indoor galley offers everything from a three-burner range to an air fryer, microwave, and massive fridge, and, depending on the model you choose, even another outdoor galley can be accessed. Go ahead, whip up those three-course meals, and impress your family and friends. Why not enjoy those meals on that rear patio? Did you also notice that some spaces are set up on slideouts?

Now, the final aspect of the Stryker class of toy haulers that needs to be brought to light is its off-grid living capabilities. Let's start off with a generator prep with an insulated bay, typically fit for an Onan generator or whatever else that's in your budget, up to 380 W of solar panel processing power and full electrical system, and 95 gals (360 l) of fresh water. If you need any more, feel free to bring along some tanks; god knows you have the space for them.

Take all that, add your own flair to things, and the result is a mobile habitat that's more mobile home than a travel trailer. Heck, some of these buggers have 16.5 ft long (5 m) garages. What more could you want? Oh, a price tag? No problem.

If these babies happen to wink at you, there are some things you need to consider. For example, the smallest 2023 unit, the ST2313, is currently selling for around $70K, depending on the features in place. Some dealerships, on the other hand, are clearing house to make room for next year's models, often dropping rates by as much as 20%. You do the math, and once you do, pick up the phone and take on a different kind of lifestyle.
