Not to be confused with Ronaldo Luis Nazario de Lima, the Brazilian footballer known as “The Phenomenon,” Cristiano Ronaldo is a Portuguese footballer often ranked as the best player in the world. That status certainly has its quirks.
According to several reports, Ronaldo’s endorsements in 2016 come down to a total of $24 million, making him a hotter asset than Lionel Messi and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Ronaldo has a sweet tooth for cars, so it goes without saying that a portion of that money is spent on high-performance machines.

As we reported earlier this year, the Real Madrid player currently drives a Mercedes-AMG S65 Coupe and a Range Rover Sport SVR. When he was playing for Manchester United, the superstar footballer owned a Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, which he famously crashed. Other than the Italian exotica, Ronaldo also used to own a 2008 Bentley Continental GT Speed, currently offered for sale at £65,000 ($94,965) by A&R Carriages.

The odometer shows 36,500 miles (58,741 kilometers), which works out at 4,562.5 miles (7,342 kilometers) per year. That’s not a lot for a grand tourer designed to eat the miles as comfortably and as fast as possible. Under the hood of this gentle giant, you will find a 6.0-liter W12 engine developing an absurd output, giving the Continental GT Speed a top speed of 202 mph (325 km/h) and the ability to hit 62 mph (100 km/h) from a standstill in 4.2 seconds or thereabout.

According to the dealership and as you can see in the photographs featured in the gallery below, the Conti GT is a clean example with a full Bentley service history. Any way you look at it, £65,000 ($94,965) is a small price to pay for such a fine example of the breed, especially for a Speed model. Better still, that's a small price to pay for a car that used to be owned by one of the greatest footballers the world has ever seen.
