Corvette Promotes Its Fasters Convertible Ever, the 427

As the summer convertible sales season gets closer, Chevrolet has decided to promote the all-new Corvette 427 Convertible, their fastest and most potent convertible car ever. This is one of the last editions of the current generation model, and besides the LS7 engine, it comes packed with goodies for the fans.
The newest ‘Vette packs, as the name suggest a 437 cubic inch engine, the 7.0-liter LS7 engine packs an all mighty 505 horsepower (377 kW) and 470 lb.-ft. of torque (637 Nm), which makes this the most powerful convertible Corvette they’ve ever offered.

Like the manly car that it, the 427 is aimed purely at the enthusiast, coming only with a six-speed manual gearbox option. For the 2013 model year, the car also gets the 60th anniversary package, which adds a subtle body kit, unique colors and striping.
