Corvette Driver Hits Deer on Race Track

Hitting a deer has got to be on the list of things least likely to happen on a race track, along with chatting with grey aliens or getting by a car you think is much weaker, when in fact it’s anything but - plausible but seriously unlikely.
He hits the deer full on and it gets some massive air - it probably didn’t survive the impact. However, the fault is not with the deer, as it was just minding its own business, being a deer in the forest, nor is it the driver's fault. It is modern civilization and the fact that our ever-expanding nature has brought about more than a few encounters with angry animals which, having lived in an area for thousands of years, are encountering difficulties in adapting to the way the world has become.

However, looking at the situation from another point of view, if the driver hadn’t taken his hand off the steering wheel and was focused, maybe by violently veering to the right could have saved both the deer and his Corvette - his failure to react cost the deer its life and him the front of his car.
