We've been watching Regular Car Reviews for about three years now and seen our fair share of Corvette videos as well. But combine the two and you get an explanation of the 1988 C4, unlike anything you've ever seen before.
The C4 is the poster child of its generation, arriving at a time when the internet embryo was beginning to form. It's the machine that made the Corvette what it is today, a supercar

The first thing Mister Regular makes sure we hear is that the C4 deserves our respect. Yes, it's a rust bucket that's coming up on its third decade of existence, but without it, GM wouldn't be the same. The C3 that came before it didn't have the same sort of technological innovations. There was none of that "Porsche 911 killer" and F-Yeah-America stuff.

That said, the digital dash everybody reads about in old Road & Track magazines is not that special. As you'll see in the video, the gauges are not really digital, more like a color overlay that melts and turns into "rainbow buk4kke". (sorry, not a Google-friendly word)

I miss big digital readouts because they are "so fancy". It's a good thing they're making a comeback on some Hondas, as simple dials are so 20th century.

What's the gearbox in a C4 like? How about a 4+3 Doug Nash (overdrive) manual produced between 1984 and 1988. In many respects, this child of the 80s is inferior to the average Honda Civic Si or Ford Focus ST.

So without further ado, we'll let you guys enjoy the show. But before you go do that, some people say a Regular Car Reviews video is best understood from atop the lavatory.
