Consumer Reports Tests 2013 Lincoln MKZ

Instead of killing it off like every other brand they were losing money on, Ford decided to have another go at making a luxury brand and are pumping money into the Lincoln brand.
The newly developed architecture for the Ford Fusion has been reshaped into the newest Lincoln right now, the MKZ. It's the first model to feature their new design language and had its own super bowl ad this year.

Sadly, the MKZ isn't without its faults. The biggest problem is the MyLincoln system in the dash. Like a futuristic piece of art, it has no knobs, just touch sensitive buttons. A car is a car and a dash is a dash, and we think they shouldn't have meddled with that. But, as Consumer Reports finds, it's not all bad news. The Fusion's platform is great, and the engine choice is quite good, with four-cylinder turbo, V6 and even hybrid options available.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
