Citroen has today become the most nonchalant automaker in the world! We say that because they simply dropped one mind-blowing piece of information that basically seems impossible without going into detail.
The DS4 Racing concept that will debut in Geneva is not powered by a hybrid train. Instead, the Frech have tuned the 1.6-liter turbo engine to an unheard of 260 horsepower DIN. That’s 160 or so horsepower per liter. And to make things even more interesting, CO2 emissions have only been nudged a bit to 155 grams per km. That’s what a normally aspirated 1.6-liter used to make.
And the DS4 Racing itself is just as impressive. The chassis has been lowered by 35mm and the track widened by 55mm at the front and 75mm at the rear. The braking system boasts fixed four-piston callipers at the front together with special 380mm diameter discs. The concept is also fitted with larger diameter 19-inch wheels and 235/40 tyres.
autoevolution is a huge fun of matte paint, and the DS4 Racing Concept has this as well. It also features carbon fibre components including an air diffuser, front splitter and wheel arch extensions.
