Citroen C-ZERO Test Drive Opportunity Coming this May

The British division of Citroen is the headline sponsor of this year’s Brighton Festival Fringe, set to take place next month, so the company decided it could treat visitors with an opportunity to book a test drive in the C-ZERO electric city car during the festival period.

Drivers can register in advance for a test drive by sending an email request with their preferred date to [email protected].

Visitors will also be able to test drive the Citroen C1, DS3 and C3 Picasso, supplied by Tates Citroen in Portslade, every weekend throughout the Brighton Festival Fringe. The Brighton Festival Fringe runs from May 7-30, 2011. A total of 180,000 visitors are expected to attend over 600 events and tickets are on sale now.

Customers interested in buying the EV will enjoy a £5,000 Plug-in Car Grant via a comprehensive ‘peace-of-mind’ package for both business and private users, with the C-ZERO available for lease at £415 per month (excluding VAT) over 4 years or 40,000 miles. This offer includes the lease of the vehicle, the battery pack, and all scheduled servicing and maintenance.

The C-ZERO is a nearly identical twin of the Mitsubishi i-MiEV, developed to make urban mobility easier with its compact dimensions, rapid charge and sufficient range for day-to-day trips. The car uses an electric motor that produces 64 hp and 180 Nm (132 lb-ft) of torque.

The C-ZERO, one of the contenders to the title of top selling electric vehicle in the UK in the future, is being promoted by Source London as the perfect choice for motorist who not only want to help save the planet, but also save some cash on Vehicle Excise Duty and London Congestion Charge.
