Justin Bieber made the Fisker Karma EV famous by wrapping it in chrome. The phenomenon is really catching on, but when Mercedes showed the SMS AMG Electric Drive in blue chrome at the Paris Motor Show, we thought it was a bit too much.
The supercar stands out like a sore thumb, as you can see from this video shot in Paris recently by Shmee150. You can’t really take it seriously, even though it deserves to. Why? because the four electric motors that power it produce a combined 740 hp (750 PS or 552 kW) of pure power and a thousand Newton meters of torque.
The polar bear friendly supercar will do 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds and comes with an equally impressive price tag of €416,500 (US$538,500). See, everything is serious about it… except the paint.
