Apparently, China doesn't have a Black Friday, but on November 11 there's an annual shopping day all around the Middle Kingdom.
Also known as the Single's Day, because of the obvious 11-11, the annual Chinese shopping day was in the beginning just a youthful celebration among university campus goers, but it slowly became something that America's Black Friday can only aspire to.
This year, a Chinese shopping site had revenues of over $1.6 billion after just six hours of sales, so you can guess how big of a deal this is in China.
So much of a big deal, in fact, that a man tried everything in his powers to stop his girlfriend from getting on the shopping bandwagon on November 11th.
His efforts were successful but it obviously didn't end without retribution from his girlfriend, who chose to get back at him with a rather unusual plan.
She apparently spent no less that 20,000 RMB (approximately $3,300) on a hundred pairs of shoes, which she then proceeded to tape on her smart fortwo, as you can see in the following photos. This goes to show you that you should never try and stop a woman from shopping for new shoes.
