When Chinese cars first made an appearance outside the PRC, all of them, without exception, were criticized for their poor build quality and appalling safety. While things may have moved on considerably, the Chinese government wants to make sure all cars which are destined for export are of a certain quality.
The number of cars exported by China is on the rise, and the the Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, General Administration of Customs, General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine and the Certification and Accreditation Administration will be implementing new legislation which will more strictly control the quality of the finished product.

The new legislation also allows the government to revoke the export rights of companies with products who fail to comply. We say it is a very important step for China, and their global image as a car producing nation will only improve as a direct result of the changes.
