Looking over the total sales of each major market over the course of 2013 for BMW automobiles, you’ll get the funny feeling that the US is no longer the biggest market for the German company. And you’d be right.
Over the last 12 months, the BMW Group sold 390,713 vehicles in Mainland China, a 19.7% increase over the previous year and topping the US sales by 14,931 units at 375,782.

Overall, the Asian continent added up to a 17.3 percent increase with a total of 576,616 vehicles whilst the Americas managed to buy ‘just’ 462,891 units in 2013.

However, in Europe, things aren’t looking so good though. With 858,990 units delivered sales actually dropped by 0.7 percent compared to 2012, despite the UK breaking the sales record posted last year (with 188,837 units sold) and Russia posting a 11.8 percent increase (44,871 vehicles overall).
