The BMW Group reached a grand total of 1,963,798 vehicles delivered in 2013, out of which 1,655,138 units were BMW Brand vehicles, an all-time high for the German company.
With another record reached in December, when 155,835 vehicles were delivered worldwide (a 2.3 percent increase over 2012) the Bavarian company is now looking forward to an even more successful year in 2014.
The 3 Series was, as always, the best seller, managing to post a 23% increase in sales, adding up to a total of 500,314 units, retaining the lead in its segment. Another model that managed to keep its segment leadership intact was the 5 Series that was sold in 366,992 units in 2013, posting a 2.2 percent increase.
Other models were also on the rise this year, like the X1 whose demand increased by 9.2 percent this year to 161,353 units sold, the X3 with a 5 percent increase to 157,298 units and the 6 Series with a 19.4 percent increase to 27,687 units overall.
