Let's give purists one good reason not to be upset by the restomodded C2 Corvette portrayed in this rendering, shall we? With the line between digital and real-world builds being thinner than ever these days, we can't play the pixels-that-won't-get-built card. But hey, at least this isn't one of the projects targeting the rare bird that is the 1963 'Vette, with its split rear window.
Digital artist Yasid Oozeear, whose work often adorns our screens, went for an approach that can be considered the opposite of a garage queen. As such, we're looking at a proposal that seems to demand the Pro-Touring label; thanks to the wider tracks, the meaty wheel/tire package and the extreme aero, this contraption could give modern performance machines a run for their money.

Then we have the various styling details, some of which appear to link this Chevy to the world of Cyberpunk. Yes, it's hard to miss this aroma, even if you haven't been spending time in the open-world RPG sensation that launched last month, namely Cyberpunk 2077.

Perhaps the best example of this comes from the front fascia, which replaces the pop-up headlights with sleek LED units, while sporting a generous grille underneath. The latter only ends to make room for the aero bridge linking the overfenders.

Oh, and you'll be forgiven for thinking the side exhaust tips, which now leave the car just after the front wheels instead of stepping out before the rear axle, for gun barrels.

While one might expect to find a massive diffuser at the back, the posterior stays pretty close to the factory design (perhaps there's some clever aero underneath the vehicle).

Then again, with those floating fenders and the louver-style rear window sitting above the eye candy that is the roll cage, there's no need for further visual drama.

A simple design was also selected for the wheels, whose massive lips are only rivaled by the handling-friendly rubber wrapped around them.

P.S.: The Detroit-like background of the images is on the house.
