Remember the Tanzanite BMW M4 that Tiff Needell drove up the famous Goodwood Hillclimb? The one made by the Germans especially for Pistonheads and decked with tons of M Performance Parts? Well, it’s back and this time, we get to hear the exhaust in all of its might.
If there’s one thing none of the reviewers agreed upon up until now it was the exhaust. Some claimed it lacked that flavor older models had, other said that it’s absolutely crazy, but none of them said the same thing.
Well, this time, we’re safe to say that the M4 sounds like it should. Could this be yet another conspiracy put together by the guys from Pistoheads and BMW? Some haters out there will probably say so but we’re still hoping that this is for real.
You might’ve noticed that the M4 Tiff drove had a couple of GoPro cameras installed on it, for such purposes. Well, one of them was mounted on the rear bumper, exactly between the quad tailpipes, to record the exhaust alone.
BMW put a lot of effort into the making of the exhaust note, knowing that most customers will want a special experience one that reminds them of the good old days. Did they succeed in creating a good note or is everything forever lost? Check out the video and let us know what you think!
