Tremec’s TR-6060 six-speed manual is your friend in need when it comes to hyperpowered American metal and today we are here to show you how things take place when you’re shifting gears in the service of a 1,000 hp engine.
The video below brings us a Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 touched by Hennessey, with the vehicle having received the HPE1000 upgrade. Like its name suggests, this twin-turbo pack brings the muscle car to a nicely rounded figure of 1,000 horses.

The twin turbo ZL1 is taken to the drag strip, where it pulls a 10.7-second run at 135.38 mph (218 km/h) run. While this is not particularly impressive given the output of the thing, the clip does include a part where we get to see the upshifting work.

Among other stuff, the HPE1000 package includes a centerforce dual friction clutch upgrade for the Tremec MG9 implementation of the Camaro, so you shouldn’t worry too much about fried things. Nonetheless, you can the swiftness of the gear changes, as well as the way in which the entire vehicle is shaken once the driver gets back on the power. The whole thing is obviously accompanied by a soundtrack that is nothing short of monstrous.

And since we mentioned the HPE1000, let’s take some time to remember what this brings to a ZL1.
