With deliveries for the 991.2 Porsche 911 GT2 RS now in their final stages, this is a brilliant time to comes across specs that truly stand out. And you could easily use the said label for the Neunelfer sitting before us.
The main ingredient in this rear-engined recipe comes from the finish of the beast, since this Porsche comes dressed in Carbon Steel Grey Metallic.

As the Instagram-based registry that brought this Zuffenhausen toy to our attention aptly points out, the said shade started out as a color from the palette used on the Mk VI and Mk VII Volskwagen Golf performance variants, namely the GTI, GTD and even the range-topping R.

Of course, this 2RS takes Carbon Steel Grey to the next level and this isn't just thanks to its sportier styling cues. Instead, the machine has the exposed carbon of the Weissach Package up its sleeve.

Then again, the configuration we have here is not just about cold hues. For instance, the magnesium round thingies, which bring a further weight saving, come in a Satin Aurum finish, one that draws attention on its own.

Oh, and let's not forget the bananas inside the wheels, with this caliper finish reminding us that the stopping power of the 700 horsepower animal comes via carbon-ceramic units.

Other delicious options involve the full LED headlights and, to also mention the cabin, the full bucket seats.

Now, if you're willing to know more about the background of the images portraying the Nurburgring tamer, I'll mention that the velocity tool has recently landed at the Porsche Centre Leicester in the UK - this color doesn't need the sun to be at its best, so it's all good.

A brand new PTS Carbon Steel Grey Metallic (carbonstahlgraumetallic; A9W) 991.2 GT3 RS has been recently delivered to Porsche Centre Leicester in the UK. This example sports the Weissach Package, magnesium wheels in satin Aurum, PCCB, LED headlights, and full bucket seats. This car continues the rehydration of the British PTS GT drought that affected the .2 GT3 and GT2 RS. Carbon Steel Grey Metallic, originally a VW color for the MK6 and MK7 Golf GTI/GTD and R, pairs very well with the 911, especially with the exposed carbon hood and roof. I had the privilege of seeing a 991 GT2 RS donning this color recently at Rare Shades 4, and my favorable impressions were only affirmed. Many thanks to Pete from @reepmidlands for the photos of this car. What are your thoughts on this example? Let us know if a PTS .2 GT3 RS has been or soon will be delivered in your area. #PTSRS
