Just days after visionary builder Michael Czysz passed away, losing his long battle with cancer, it is with sadness that we have to announce another big loss in the motorcycling world. Rob Harris was the founder, owner, and Editor-in-Chief of Canada Moto Guide, arguably the most important publication in Canada.
"Editor 'arris" was killed in a motorcycle crash in Ontario, Canada, apparently while riding dirt bikes. The exact circumstances of his accident and subsequent death have not been made public yet.

An Englishman established in Canada, Harris has tied his name to the local motorcycling scene after a two-decade career that saw him and his publication evolving from a small online presence in 1996 to one of the most respected media outlets in the country.

Even more, Rob was one of the people that created the Mad Bastard Scooter Rally (MBSR), perhaps the funniest road racing event in the world, albeit nowhere near as widely known as it should be. The MBSR started out in 2004 as a crazy and epic adventure of five people riding around Lake Ontario.

With a new edition taking place every two years, the Mad Bastard Scooter Rally gained traction and attracted over 75 racers in the 2015 event, securing official support from Kymco and becoming a well-established event in the Canadian road racing calendar.

Rob's heritage will be remembered through the amazing things he accomplished with Canada Moto Guide. He is survived by his wife Courtney and their two girls, Cate and Chloe. We extend our condolences to his family and friends and hope that our fellow journalists at Canada Moto Guide will find the strength needed to surmount the loss of their front-runner.

More details about how Rob Harris lost his life are expected in a few days' time and we just hope his unfortunate demise has none of the strange aspects that still cast an eerie light on the death of Kevin Ash.
