These are among the last cool drag races of 2018 as the winter is closing in, and they are pretty good. The Gumbal YouTube channel once again captured something unusual, a showdown between the GAD Motors GLC 63 Coupe and a modded Audi RS6.
That GLC is something exciting and unique as far as we know. Out of the box, the GLC 63 S Coupe comes with the same 510 horsepower 4-liter as the C 63. However, it has the added benefit of all-wheel drive, which can make better use of added torque when modded.

And moded it is. The V8 suffered a complete makeover that includes new turbos, ported heads, a high-pressure fuel system, new intercoolers, a racing downpipe, and stiffened gearbox. Depending on the drive mode, it can make as much a 950 horsepower or about 237 HP per liter of displacement, which is just crazy. But did you guys know that the GLC Coupe is a little bit heavier than the regular version? We wonder how that impacts performance while understanding that it makes for a unique-looking dragster/autobahn stormer.

Its direct rival is to be taken seriously. We're talking about a 650 horsepower version of the RS6 Avant, so still a 4-liter with 300 HP less. Even though that's not a lot more than the stock output, the super-wagon is better built to handle speed. The scores on the doors say the Audi came first over the kilometer-long runway.

And just to prove this Nardo Grey machine is the real deal, its owner also races a bunch of other high-horsepower monsters. The Golf 5 is a turbocharged R32 model making 980 horsepower. Yes, you read that right. Despite the high number, the powerful quattro launch makes mincemeat of the old Golf and proves more than a match for a 550 horsepower Golf 7 R. These Volkswagens are pretty fast, though.
