Mercedes-Benz might have pulled an early April Fools Day prank on the media by insinuating (not literally, though) that the station wagon version of the new C-Class W205 might be presented to the public at the Geneva Motor Show 2014.
If it wasn't obvious by now, there is no sign of the C-Class T-Modell in Geneva, with the only three-pointed star world premiere being handsomely represented by the gorgeous S-Class Coupe C217.
This is despite the fact that we caught a completely undisguised model of the upcoming wagon as early as November 2013. On top of that, a few weeks ago we also managed to catch a glimpse of a body-in-white version of the car during a C-Class W205 official production video, meaning that Mercedes-Benz has already started manufacturing some models.
Either way, the new C-Class Wagon is nearing its unveil pretty fast, with the actual launch moment being weeks or a couple of months away tops.
As expected, it will feature the same engine lineup and features as the C-Class W205 sedan, with a 63 AMG Wagon version to return in the lineup in mid or late 2015.
Design wise, the new smallest station wagon in the Mercedes-Benz range will no longer feature an utilitarian exterior design, going the sports wagon look found on some of its rivals. Despite this, you should expect it to sport the largest luggage compartment in its segment, just like its predecessors have.
