Camaro, Hottest Car at SEMA

It's only natural that the title of the hottest car at the 2010 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) be given to an all American... Despite the flood of Japanese hotties, coming from manufacturers Toyota or Honda, those attending the event have spoken their mind, and their mind said give the prize to the Camaro.

Chevy brought to the event four versions of the Camaro (aside from the ones who were presented by independent specialists), tweaked beyond recognition, with at least two of them to be actually sold next year. The two are the Camaro Synergy Series and XM Accessories Appearance Package.

The other two, Camaro Red Flash and SSX Track concept, will not go into production, but have been on site in Las Vegas to wow the crowd.

“More than any other venue, the cars exhibitors and attendees bring to SEMA embody the passion and excitement of car enthusiasts everywhere,” said John Fitzpatrick, Chevrolet Performance Cars marketing manager. “Based on the sheer number of Camaros displayed on the floor, and parked in the adjacent lots, the Camaro is clearly the hottest car of the show.”

The cars which will move from the show's floor into production next year come with both visual and performance enhancements. The Synergy Series comes in Cyber Gray and is powered by an LS3 6.2l engine.

The XM Accessories Appearance Package brings custom Imperial Blue paint, 21 inch polished wheels, Chevrolet Accessory grille and a 3.6l V6.

More information about the two models will be announced closer to the launch date.
