Connecticut-headquartered Chevrolet specialist Callaway is developing new supercharged pickup trucks based on GM’s latest 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra twins, the company revealed yesterday.
The new vehicles will become available with supercharged 5.3-liter and 6.2-liter V8 engines and in every cab and bed configuration later this year. Power figures are expected to exceed 450 HP for the 5.3-liter version and 540 HP for the 6.2-liter variant respectively.
“Expect premium performance, quality and value consistent with other Callaway car and truck packages,” said Callaway, adding that wheel, tire, suspension, interior and body upgrades are also under-way.
As far as its Tahoe, Suburban, Yukon, Denali and Escalade lineup is concerned, the tuning specialist said it will remain largely unchanged for the 2014 model year.
The all-new 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and 2014 GMC Sierra pickup trucks will hit US dealerships later this year.
