Currently, there are two main approaches for America's big and premium automotive brands – Cadillac and Lincoln. One is EV-centric, and the other is not so much anymore.
General Motors has invested billions, most likely, into the development of its Ultium platform and technologies. So far, they haven't reaped any of the benefits, just the associated 'early adopter' problems. As such, it is no wonder they are still pushing through with massive EV plans despite the perceived slowdown of zero-emission vehicle sales over the past few months.

Cadillac is an integral part of their strategy with the upcoming 2025 Optiq (Chinese-built) compact crossover, 2024 Lyriq mid-size CUV, 2026 Vistiq three-row, as well as the 2025 Escalade IQ and Celestiq flagships. Even more so, the rumor mill firmly believes that Cadillac will also add a couple of passenger cars to the EV family soon enough, one compact-to-medium-sized and another coming as a 'standard' large Caddy sedan, not the $340k Celestiq billionaire toy.

Meanwhile, Lincoln doesn't want to have anything to do with any of that and has reportedly shifted focus from upcoming big EVs like an Escalade IQ-rivaling SUV to advanced technologies, whatever that may mean. As such, they not only don't have even one EV in the lineup, but they're also distancing themselves from the zone. However, the imaginative realm of digital car content creators might have something else to say about that.

More precisely, Vince Burlapp (aka vburlapp on social media and burlappcar.com) is a prolific virtual artist who loves to dream of all the latest models across the wide-ranging automotive realm and has taken a keen interest in Cadillac and Lincoln's fates as of late. For example, the pixel master decided to go against all current market trends and imagined the revival of the Lincoln Mark series with an X entry into the fold packing Coupe and Convertible EVs.

Next up, he digitally brought back to life the potentially competing Cadillac Eldorado IQ Coupe and Convertible to have more land yachts across imagination land. Speaking of land yachts, of course, he couldn't abandon the Cadillac and Lincoln ideas without a couple of big sedans that met up to relieve their respective companies' land yacht memories. Naturally, given their characteristics, there was just one more step needed to give them a historical purpose.

So, the latest CGI design projects of Cadillac and Lincoln have names – the black Caddy is a spiritual successor of the DeVille series, and the ninth generation comes with the looks of a true sedan rather than the quirky format of the Celestiq. Secondly, the gray Lincoln is obviously a massive Town Car, a fourth-generation full-size luxury sedan that would look pristine alongside the next-gen Navigator, for sure. So, how do you like them, if any?
