Unlike BMW or Mercedes-Benz, Audi and Cadillac are keeping a subtler profile and going about their premium business without causing a ruckus across the automotive industry for their looks. Instead, they would very much like their performances to do the talking.
It's kind of odd to talk about performance in the same sentence with mentions of luxury brands, right? But the automotive industry has long been a place of excellence – and when you think about the Audi Sport or Cadillac V-Series, it's not quirky to discuss high-performance automobiles. Besides, if the OEMs don't do them justice, the aftermarket realm is always ready and willing to change that.

There is no need to take our word for granted – just look at the Cadillac Blackwings of the Audi RS series. Hey, sometimes, even a lower-rated Audi S variant can stand up to such comparisons. If you need an example, here are the good folks over at the racing-focused ImportRace channel on YouTube, who have a nice set of brawls focused on a Caddy and a reworked Audi while brawling at the local racetrack.

That would be Island Dragway in Great Meadows, New Jersey, which has a long series of 'test-and-tune' weekends for everyone to set up their best drag racing scenarios properly. One of the regulars is also a white Cadillac CT-4 Blackwing, which has a habit of brawling with all sorts of interesting foes – such as the 2024 Ford Mustang GT, lots of BMWs, and even the occasional Chevy Camaro cousin. Suppose you like the 'entry-level' compact executive sedan's V-Series Blackwing flagship. In that case, this is for you – it recently duked it out once again with an aggressive, modified Audi S3 after initially losing the matchup a couple of weeks ago. Back then, the result was quite obvious – an 11.73s versus 11.93s victory posted in broad daylight.

Now, for the rematch, the modded Audi and feisty Cadillac found the cover of darkness and a chillier atmosphere. Unfortunately, we don't get to see everything as the racetrack is not exactly basking in artificial light. Still, it was enough to notice the Audi S3 was in the left lane and the Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing was on the right. As they took off into the night, it was pretty hard to figure out who won the skirmish, and the electronic scoreboard also had some trouble displaying the Blackwing's result. Anyway, the green light came on for the Caddy, so at least we know the rematch was settled in America's favor!

By the way, if you are a fan of European rides and want to check out some nasty roll races over 1,000 meters between veritable monsters, then we suggest staying here a bit longer (around four minutes) – the second video embedded below from 'cvdzijden features a mighty 747-hp Mercedes-AMG E 63 S Estate tuned by HPT (Horse Power Technics) and ready to duke it out with everyone in attendance!
