The facelifted BMW X1 is now available for order in the UK. With subtle changes to the front and rear bumpers along with new taillights, the car looks quite sharp especially with one of the new rim designs and colors available.
On the interior front, it gets a redesigned center console, which comes with better, more tactile, surface materials to improve its quality feel. Also, two new ‘BMW Lines’ have been added to its already extensive range of trim and engine combinations.
The first of the two lines is called ‘xLine’, and cars fitted with this pack will benefit from sportier front and rear bumpers along with silver-painted side skirts, grille and skid-plate. The pack also adds 18-inch alloys, sports leather seats and sports steering wheel and seats with an embossed ‘X’.
The second of the new lines is called the ‘Sport’ which gets the same sporty bumpers but all the silver bits on the ‘xLine’ are now black - it even has black exhaust tips. As one would expect, the ‘Sport’ gets special wheel designs and red detailing on the interior.
Prices for the two-wheel drive sDrive 18d SE start at £24.660/€30.050 and rise to £32,860 (€40,430) for the new range topping xDrive25d version featuring a 214-hp 2-litre turbodiesel which will push the car from 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 6.8 seconds - 0.5 seconds quicker than the outgoing range topper the xDrive23d.
