Since most car manufacturers are offering all-wheel-drive system on every possible model (even the Fiat Panda has a 4x4 traction system), BMW wants to satisfy its customers and introduces new xDrive models starting this summer.
The new models available with xDrive systems will be the F20 118d, F21 118d, F30 318d Sedan, F31 318d Touring and the brand new F30 335d xDrive.

The specifications for the 118d and 318d will remain basically the same: 143 HP with 320 Nm (236 lb-ft) of torque but sent to all four wheels through a 6-speed manual gearbox (automatic transmission is available as an option).

However, the F30 335d xDrive will be a whole new model in the series. It will be fitted with a 3-liter diesel engine that produces 313 HP and 630 Nm (465 lb-ft) of torque and will become the fastest 3 Series model until the launch of the M3.

All new xDrive models will receive standard EfficientDynamics features like: Brake Energy Regeneration, electromechanical power steering, Automatic Start/Stop function, gear shift indicator, ECO PRO mode with coasting, intelligent lightweight construction, air flap control, differential with optimized-warm-up behavior and tyres with reduced rolling resistance
