With a daring spot, featuring people of all kinds and ages, BMW decided to announce that it will be unveiling the highly-anticipated BMW i3 this month, on the 29th.
Followed by the tag-line "It's time to learn a new german word: Verfreude" which roughly translates into 'anticipation', BMW's announcement came as a surprise.
Even though most people were waiting for BMW to unveil its city-car at Frankfurt, this fall, it seems like the company decided a mid-summer launch would be better.
The car was actually unveiled due to some leaked production images we already showed you and probably the Bavarian group decided it was pointless to wait any longer and it should put us out of our misery once and for all.
The all-electric vehicle will be using a high-tech battery that's resistant to extreme temperatures and will also be available with a so-called range-extender that is actually a 2-cylinder motorcycle engine that works as a generator (and will probably be built by Kymco). Prices should be almost the same as a brand new F30 3er.
