Like most of them automakers that love to stick their noses in new ventures to promote their brand, BMW too likes to play the lifestyle game. Their new addition to pop culture comes in the form of a new sports collections that includes everything from luggage and shirts to jackets, all designed “for people on the move”.
Part of the Athletics Collection, BMW is bringing a new jacket for women and men ideally suited for the transition periods in spring and autumn. Designed with a softly lined stand-up collar, an adjustable waistband with thumb loops, and zip-off sleeves the jacket is available in black with royal blue lining for men, and blue lining for women.
For those having to face bad weather frequently, the Germans have prepared a wind and water repellent jacket that “impresses with fine details like the perforation in the back area and the frictionless cut”.
The Motorsport Collection uses design elements from BMW’s motorsport activity, having things such as a remodeled car silhouette in BMW M colors depicted on the chest area of the Motorsport Soft shell Jacket. Unisex sunglasses with slightly mirrored ultra-light polycarbonate lenses and a rain jacket for both him and her are also part of this line.
The racing flavor wouldn’t be complete, however, without a proper wristwatch. So BMW also came up with the Motorsport ICE Watch Steel Chrono. Well stored in a matte stainless steel housing, the timepiece comes with red hands and a team blue face.
The coated leather band contains an optical illusion, in the visible range the color is team blue while its underside is M red. The timepiece has three integrated dials and a date display, and can withstand pressure in water depths of up to 100 meters.
