BMW Teases New U.S. M-Related Model

BMW’s U.S. arm has created something for the kid that is hidden inside every men, but the development we are talking about isn’t a new performance vehicle, at least not yet.Just like a parent tells a riddle to his child, BMW has released a set of images previewing a new 3 Series model destined for the American market. And here is where the official info ends.

The vehicle is wearing an M3 front fascia and uses M3 Competition Package rims. In addition to that, it comes with BMW’s DCT dual clutch transmission and is flooded with “M” logos, both on the exterior and interior.

Our money are placed on a special edition for the M3, as this seems to be the only possibility. This is because the U.S. market has already received a warm-to-hot version of the 3 Series, the 335is, so there doesn’t seem to be room for a beefier model between this and the mighty M3.

We will also have to see if the carmaker’s creation will take a coupe, sedan or topless form, as the M3 can be ordered in any of these versions.

Maybe BMW is planning to offer a pumped-up version of the M3’s 420 hp 4.2 liter V8 powerplant. This would make sense, as the Competition Package only comes with handling and aerodynamic upgrades (and a start-stop function, but let’s not mention that).

You should be able to create your own M3 fantasy until later this week, when BMW will announce the official details of the vehicle.
