BMW S1000RR UK Pricing Announced

Heading to the British market, the BMW S1000RR finally got its price tag, which was set at £10,950 for the standard model. A Sport version will also be available for purchasing starting from £12,235. However, orders for the S1000RR start from mid-January 2010.

“In the UK, we have worked very hard to launch the S 1000 RR into the competitive supersport sector at a realistic and affordable price,”
Ian Furse, BMW Motorrad National Sales Manager, was quoted as saying by the MCN.

"Not only does the Standard model offer excellent value for money, we feel that with the introduction of the higher specification Sport variant, we can offer supersports customers a simple choice of specifications that will also significantly benefit the bike’s residual values,”
he added.

“Simple and strong residuals will also enable BMW to offer affordable monthly purchasing plans via BMW Select Finance. These offers will be announced when the S1000RR reaches BMW Dealer showrooms on 5 December,”
concluded Furse.

Additional options can be added, priced as follows:
  • Race ABS - £785
  • Race ABS + Dynamic Traction Control - £1,199 (standard on S1000RR Sport)
  • Gear Shift Assist - £299 (standard on S1000RR Sport)
  • Anti-theft Alarm - £172
  • BMW Motorrad Motorsport color scheme - £390

The German manufacturer released the very much anticipated machinery in the first quarter of 2009, fitted with a 99cc in-line four-cylinder engine that develops 193 bhp, and with a dry weight rated at 183 kg, making it the lightest supersport bike with ABS.
