We know BMW Motorrad plans three R nineT derivatives to complete the range and the Racer version is the latest one to come by, after the Scrambler. The model is supposed to be officially unveiled at the INTERMOT show, but a photo of it already leaked on the Internet.
With only a day left until the INTERMOT show opens up its doors for the press, Bike EXIF managed to get hold of a photo of the awaited BMW R nineT and leaked it on their Facebook page.

According to this, we get to see the R nineT platform being taken back to oldschool through a 1/2 fairing you see on cafe racers, new seat with a retro rear cowl for riding solo as well as a simple, yet iconic paint scheme with blue/red stripes over an immaculate white.

The double exhaust on the standard model looks to be converted into a single conical rear end pipe while the front forks look to be downgraded to simple non-adjusting ones. The rear subframe looks simplified as well through the deletion of the passenger foot pegs while clip-on bars replace the standard issue.

A pair of 17-inch 5-spoke cast wheels are replacing the cool-looking wired ones in a way we can’t explain but to think what we are looking here is a base model of some sort. Maybe BMW wants is to be simpler and cheaper so everyone could modify theirs according to their own taste.

For example, the overall shape of the bike here would be a lot cleaner if those flappy stock mirrors would be replaced by bar end ones. Anyway, the official unveil of the new R nineT variation is due to happen this week at INTERMOT 2016 in Cologne, Germany, so stay close for more details as soon as we get to them.
