It seems like the i3 will be a hit for BMW, at least according to the Group's CFO (Chief Financial Officer), Friedrich Eichiner that recently gave a statement in Amsterdam, at one of BMW's events.
The official told Bloomberg that customers reserved over 8,000 units of the new electric vehicle before the car even reach dealerships around Europe. If the demand will continue this way, production will have to be increased, in order to keep up.

In Germany, for example, the car isn't even officially on sale, being scheduled to be launched on November 16. And that's just in Europe. The US, Japan and Chinese markets will get the new city-car next year.

Prices start at EUR34,950 in Europe and USD41,350 in the US, without the Range Extender and in the base, Mega World trim level.
