Now that the BMW M6 Coupe and Cabrio have secured their positions in Europe and the US, it is time for the twin-turbo V8-powered duo to make its way Down Under.
The new M6 Coupe needs just 4.2 seconds to play the 0 to 100 km/h game, while the Convertible takes 0.1 seconds more for the task. However, the two models are also efficient, as the Coupe registers and efficiency of 9.9 litres per 100 kilometres and CO2 emissions of 232 grams per km in the EU test cycle. As for the open-air model, this sits 10.3 l/100 km and 239 g/km.
Thus, the 10 percent engine power increase (560 hp) and 30 percent torque increase (680 Nm) are accompanied by a 30 percent cut in fuel consumptions and CO2 emissions, compared to the previous generation models.
“The ballistic acceleration and enthralling dynamics of the M6 are straight out of the M textbook yet the technology at work in these cars is truly ground-breaking,” BMW Group Australia Managing Director, Phil Horton, said.
