One of the things that makes the Nurburgring fully worthy of its Green Hell nickname has to do with the fact that many of the track's section make passing impossible without an... agreement from the driver that's about to be overtaken.
Alas, many of those who lap the Ring fail to understand this and their attempts to push through usually lead to crashes. Well, we're here to bring you the most recent example of this kind, one that comes from the past weekend's RCN racing event.

Sunday's race saw a pair of BMW M3s from the E46 generation battling out on the track, but the brawl came to an abrupt end through the right kink before the Wehrseifen section of the circuit.

The piece of footage at the bottom of the page, which we came across thanks to BridgeToGantry (BTG), allows us to see the stunt, even offering two different angles.

As you'll be able to notice in the clip, the Blue M3 clearly deserves to get in front of the Green M3. However, none of the drivers is ready to show any form of cooperation.

Thus, we get to see the Blue Bimmer trying to squeeze on the inside, which leads to a full-contact moment involving the two cars. The impact(s) sent both M3s right into the protection barrier on the side of the track.

And it made no difference that the Green car hit the barrier due to forced understeer while the Blue vehicle oversteered its way into the crash - both BMWs were torn apart in the accident.

And yes, the two drivers did have a bit of an unfriendly chat after the accident, with things going just like you'd expect them to.

The lesson here? If such fist-driven passes can't be avoided, which is the ideal situation, they should at least be reserved for the world of karting.
